"Wisdom
For The Journey"
a conference with Cindy Secrest McDowell
Life
is a journey and we only travel it once. That's why it is
so important to get it right the first time! In order to live as
wise women, we must consult God's Word which holds all Truth
and encourages us with its precepts. In this series we will look at
the life of King Solomon ~ the good, the bad and the ugly ~
to learn some wisdom for our own journeys.
(Kings, Chronicles, Ecclesiastes &Proverbs)
Session
1
"Searching
for Significance"
King Solomon was called by God to build the Temple and he
prayed for wisdom and an ability to be a godly leader. All of us
want to make a difference in life. How can we accomplish this?
Session
2
"Sidetracked
by Society"
God gave King Solomon even much more than wisdom, but it wasn't
enough and he became seduced by "wanting more". How can we remain
focused in a world that clamors for our attention and our loyalty?
Session
3
"Seasons
and Solutions"
When he reflected on how he had spent his life, Solomon had some
unusual observations about the choices he had made. Discover
what he learned is the most important thing in life.
